We Have A Home!!!!

We have a home!  

After some negotiation, we are the proud lessors of 6 Parklane Place in Bulimba, QLD!

6 Parklane Place...our new home!

We are really happy that we were able to get this home.  It didn't come without some difficult decisions.  First, the owners only wanted to grant us a one-year lease, which would have been a deal-breaker.  No way were the Wagner's going to move again one year into our move!  They conceded relatively easily on that point.  Unfortunately, the wouldn't budge on the no pets clause.  That means no Sammy.  This was a VERY difficult decision.  In the end, we agreed not to take Sammy not only because the house wouldn't allow her, but pets also face a 60-180 day quarantine period upon arrival in Australia.  Apparently, Australia does not have rabies and they quarantine all pets who come into the country.  The quarantine is in Sydney, which is a 12-hour drive so we wouldn't be able to visit her.  For her comfort, we decided to keep her in Belleville.  

We are really sad about Sammy, but we know the kids will love this house.  They can play baseball on the Rugby fields to the left of the house, and basketball in the park to the right of the house.  All three of them will be about to swim the day we arrive in January since it will be summer and about 90 degrees.
