Today is the day we have been waiting for! We were scheduled to tour four homes and finally get to visit 6 Parklane Place! We think this is our home...but we haven't even seen the inside. When we finally were able to go inside, we were disappointed to find two other couples touring it along with us! Yikes! It was popular! The home itself was nice, but not as impressive as the photos on the internet. We really liked it, but found it doesn't have four bedrooms and a pool as the internet real estate listing suggested. It really was a three bedroom home with a den. The pool was gorgeous. Lots to think about. Here are some photos of the home we saw on the day we toured it:

We moved on from 6 Parklane Place to tour three other homes:
Wright Street - Great house...no pool. Walking distance to Sts. Peter and Paul's.
Oak Street...Very Unconventional Home. Next to an Australia Football League.

9 Portside Place

The last home we visited was 9 Portside Place. It was the home of the lady we met on our Bulimba State School tour. It was a four bedroom ranch style home with a pool that was right within our price range. I wanted to like it...and I really could see us here. However, Paul and Colin did not like the one-story design and Colin didn't feel like it gave us enough room to branch out. Still, it was a really neat home on a wonderful kid-friendly street. I thought about this home for days wondering if it was the right fit for our family. It had a lovely park just three houses away. Fortunately, the home on Parklane was one street over, so the park would be accessible regardless which home we chose. Here are some photos of the park:

It was a long day. As we ate dinner that night, we really tossed around our choices of homes. We had a lot to sleep on tonight.
